How TriMix Works
TriMix targets the physiological mechanisms responsible for erectile dysfunction (ED). The medication combines three key components: alprostadil, phentolamine, and papaverine. Alprostadil is a synthetic version of prostaglandin E1, a naturally occurring substance in the body. When administered, it relaxes smooth muscle cells within the blood vessels of the penis. This leads to the widening of blood vessels, allowing increased blood flow into the penis.
Phentolamine acts as an alpha-adrenergic antagonist, blocking the action of neurotransmitters that constrict blood vessels. By inhibiting this constriction, phentolamine promotes vasodilation. Papaverine also contributes to vasodilation by inhibiting phosphodiesterase, an enzyme that can restrict blood vessel relaxation. Together, these components enhance blood flow into the penile tissues, enabling a firm and sustainable erection.
