A surgery-free treatment to restore your luscious locks
Balding spots and receding hairlines can be difficult to cover up all the time. More importantly, you shouldn’t have to be forced to use hats, caps, and scarves to cover your head whenever you go out.
Thankfully, you don’t have to do this anymore. With the FUE procedure, you’ll soon have a rich crop of hair that will add volume and texture to your hairline.
The FUE procedure uses a state-of-the-art, non-surgical, minimally-invasive technique to restore your hairline and cover up balding spots. In conventional hair grafting treatments, the strip method is used to harvest a small strip of the patient’s scalp. This strip of skin is then sewn onto the sections where hair fall is most severe. The new hair grows from this relocated strip of skin.
This surgical procedure can be both painful and have a longer recovery period. Plus, it can leave behind a straight scar that may limit the types of hairstyles you could try. None of these problems exist with the FUE hair transplant in Frisco at Genesis Lifestyle Medicine.
How is the Follicular Unit Extraction procedure done?
The treatment is done using a new-age process called the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) technique. Here, our objective is to harvest whole hair follicles containing hair from the donor site and directly re-implanting the follicle into the treatment zone.
Our team of hair transplant experts uses a specialized handheld FUE device, which they run over the donor site. Typically, this will be either the nape of the neck or the back of the scalp, where the hair is tough and less prone to breakage and fall.
The FUE device collects hair follicles that have 1-3 hair strands in them. This follicle is implanted as it is, in the site which has less hair. Over the course of the next few weeks, the newly placed hair follicle will start to heal and grow fresh and healthy hair. Soon, you’ll be able to notice a reduction in the size of your bald spots and receding hairline.

Preparing for the procedure
When you come in for the FUE treatment, we will shave a really small portion of the donor site, so we can easily collect your hair follicles. You don’t need to shave your hair completely for this. We will shave it in a way that the bald patch will not be visible to anyone looking at your scalp.
How long does the procedure take?
Each grafting session can take between 4-10 hours. So, it's recommended you take the day off from work. In some instances, our professionals may recommend multiple sessions to ensure you receive comprehensive treatment.
