Recovery: side effects, downtime, aftercare
You may experience mild redness or swelling in the treated area, which usually subsides within a few hours. There is no downtime, and you can return to your normal activities immediately. To care for your skin, avoid direct sun exposure and apply sunscreen to protect the treated area. Refrain from tanning beds and harsh exfoliants for a few days. Your technician will provide specific aftercare instructions to ensure optimal results and keep your skin healthy and smooth.
Optimal frequency of treatments
For the best results, you’ll need 5-6 laser hair removal sessions spaced about four weeks apart. This timing allows the DiolazeXL laser to target hair follicles during their active growth phase. Darker skin tones may require additional sessions, typically 6-10, to achieve optimal results. Over time, you’ll notice fewer and finer hairs growing back, and in many cases, treated follicles will stop producing hair entirely. However, occasional maintenance sessions may be necessary.
