How Botox works
Botox temporarily blocks the signal from the nerves to the muscles that contract when we make facial expressions. This causes the muscles to relax more, and the wrinkles to be much less noticeable. Although the muscles are temporarily “frozen”, you will still be able to make your own facial expressions, as long as you choose a provider who is experienced in administering Botox injections correctly. Be sure to select a medical professional who fully understands the structure of the human face, the underlying facial muscles, how many units should be used per area, and exactly how to administer Botox.
